WHO WE ARE
Our Overview
Youth Now! (YN) is a community-based organization that promotes a developmental framework for youth, which directs them toward positive pathways of physical and emotional growth, academic success, and social and economic development.
Our Passion
YOUTH NOW!YN’s passion to service our target population is driven by the following:
A desire and ability to look beyond the surface and identify the core (root) cause of poor performance
and/or negative behavior patterns
The ability to see the world through the eyes of children
A commitment to improve academic performance which directly contributes to the safety, security, and well being of the family
What We Believe
All youth can learn given personal attention, proper guidance, and support
Teaching strategies must be age appropriate and relevant to the ability of each student
Learning styles differ; therefore teaching styles must differ
Making a difference academically in the lives of our youth today will make for a better tomorrow
We are a part of a child’s extended family; therefore it is our responsibility to ensure his/her well-being (physical, educational, emotional, etc.)
Vision of Change
By promoting a positive developmental framework for youth, we can direct them toward positive pathways of physical and emotional growth, academic success, and social and economic development. Changing a child, youth, or young adult’s life can change our society.
Our Strategy
Our strategy is to equip youth with the tools and skills to position themselves to excel academically, and develop socially which will better prepare them for a promising and successful future.
